๐Ÿง  Sensory-motor activities for children aged 0 to 4 in Paris

Between birth and age 4, children rapidly develop their motor and sensory skills. This is a time when every gesture, every sound, and every texture is of immense importance. To support this development in the best possible conditions, Octopia offers an educational space designed specifically for toddlers.

Here are 5 ideal sensory-motor activities to help your child explore the world, safely, in a magical place located in Paris 17th.

๐Ÿผ Why stimulate the senses and motor skills from a young age?

Sensory and motor experiences help build the brain. Manipulating, crawling, listening, touching... these repeated gestures allow the child to:

  • develop coordination,

  • become aware of one's body,

  • strengthen his confidence,

  • improve one's autonomy.

A safe, gentle, and stimulating environment is essential to encourage free exploration without stress.

๐ŸŒŸ 5 sensory-motor activities to discover at Octopia

1. The soft motor skills course

Soft modules, tunnels to explore, mini-slopes to cross... The course is suitable for toddlers, from the age of 6 months. It allows them to crawl, climb, roll or simply observe.

๐Ÿงธ Accessible in the โ€œStarfishโ€ area, reserved for children from 0 to 1 year old.

2. Sensory mats

Different textures, colors, shapes, and materials: the sensory mat stimulates touch and curiosity. It allows babies to explore the world safely, lying on their stomach or sitting up.

3. Musical awakening (Octomusic)

Sounds are essential to language development. Tambourines, maracas, xylophones: children discover rhythms, silences, and listening in a joyful and caring environment.

๐ŸŽต Workshop available from 6 months. Reservation required.

4. Baby yoga (Miniyoga)

Gentle movements, accompanied by the parent's breathing, help strengthen the emotional bond, ease tensions (digestion, sleep, etc.) and develop balance.

๐Ÿง˜ Offered as a weekly workshop. From 2-3 months.

5. Imitation games

From 18 months, the child begins to imitate everyday actions: cooking, caring for children, making phone calls, etc. These games develop memory, language, and understanding of the world. Our imitation cabin changes decor every 6 months. (veterinarian's office, fruit and vegetable sellers, etc.)
